Knitting a Snood

I haven’t knitted in a long time but it’s winter here and I decided I want to knit a snood, nothing fancy just a basic snood especially as it’s also my first time knitting a snood.

I went to our local supermarket and choose a black wool. Very boring I know but I don’t have a nice black scarf or snood. I already had knitting needles a size 10 which is about 3.5 mm.

I started 50 stitches and knitted 2 rows with a double stitch and 2 normal stitches. While knitting I would fit and see if the length is correct. I knitted it a bit longer than the patterns on the internet but I liked it to be longer. I must say I found that 50 stitches are a bit to much for me so maybe try 40 stitches or less.

After knitting the required length I finished off my stitches and sew the 2 ends together. Lovely warm snood.

Before I started wearing the snood I just washed it. Remember that washing will also stretch the snood.
